The “Old Guard” performs live-action military drills and reenactments in Arlington at Henderson Hall from from early May through early August.
Despite being an urban county, Arlington has set aside a number of green spaces for residents to enjoy. For example, Theodore Roosvelt Park is one of my favorite places to walk.
Arlington sports fans enjoy a variety of professional sports teams. The Washington Redskins, the Washington Wizards, the Washington Capitals, the Washington Nationals and DC United all play games close to Arlington.
Arlington County has some of the best public schools in the national capital region, and in the country. Both Barrett, Discovery, McKinley, and Tuckahoe Elementary Schools and Kenmore, Swanson, and Williamsburg Middle Schools are well regarded.
