When you're purchasing a house, is it possible to profit from the Golden Rule?
As a Realtor, I pledged to act fairly towards all in the spirit of the Golden Rule, but real estate professional or not, it's something that I have practiced through-out my lifetime in both business and personal matters. But how can the Golden Rule apply when the other party has a house selling for $739,000 but you want to pay $702,050? It doesn't mean a seller in McLean doesn't expect you the buyer to pursue tough negotiations. It doesn't mean that you have to be a chump. But it does mean that:
