But putting that aside, this post isn't about this small mid-rise condo in Arlington, Virginia. Instead, I want to tell you more about why Arlington is so dear to me. There's a lot to love about Arlington—more than will fit in this article, but here's a few things I like living here:
The “Old Guard” performs live-action military drills and reenactments in Arlington at Henderson Hall from from early May through early August.
Arlington sports fans enjoy a variety of professional sports teams. The Washington Redskins, the Washington Wizards, the Washington Capitals, the Washington Nationals and DC United all play games close to Arlington.
Surprisingly, Arlington has a number of great locations for bird-watching. Among these is Long Branch Nature Center, a 95.5-acre green, forested area with many nature trails, a popular dog park, an amphitheater, kids’ playground, and well-maintained picnic spaces.
Shirlington is a little gem in Arlington. It has a unique sidewalk cafe atmosphere and is home to PBS.
