Finally, Ballston Quarter is open for business in the old Ballston Mall area. We have waited through several years of road delays, detours and construction, so I'm excited for to finally have this completed. But how will this affect your real estate?

Ballston Quarter can only continue to increase rental and sales activity in an area that has for the past years been somewhat neglected. By walking down the huge staircase from Wilson Boulevard into what was formerly the underground "food court", you'll find a wide-open gigantic space packed with a wide variety of restaurants - Spanish, Asian, Pizza, BBQ, and others. For Happy Hour, check out Copa and the new Oyster Bar. Punchbowl Social with its fascinating retro video games is a massive gamified drinking and dining behemoth on three levels of the mall.
If you want to do some shopping, go by the numerous stores on one side of the mall (above the old CVS, which is still there). There is also an "open air" corridor with no roof above the stores. If it's starts raining, just duck back inside the covered part of the mall.
All in all, Ballston Quarter will draw in new construction and new residents in the Ballston area. Just look at the massive new rental buildings that are rising on the corner of Glebe and Wilson across from Mussel Bar!
