According to a new survey from the National Association of Home Builders, a remodeling labor shortage continues to impact housing projects in Arlington by increasing prices and delaying timetables. The survey showed that the remodeling jobs that are seeing the largest shortages are those that involve carpenters, framing crews, bricklayers, and electricians. Remodelers in Arlington that were involved in the survey said that the labor shortages are having a widespread impact on their business. Seventy percent to half of the remodelers reported that the top effects of the labor shortage have been higher wages and subcontractor bids, higher prices for customers, and difficulty in completing projects on time thereby forcing them to turn down some projects in Arlington.
