
The Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association (FVFEA) will be hosting its Annual Firehouse Festival at The Friendship Firehouse Museum, 107 S. Alfred St Alexandria on August 3 from 9 am to 2 pm. The Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association is an organization which focuses on fire fighting history and fire safety. It is an active organization which hosts this event annually and it supports the preservation of the Friendship Firehouse Museum and its collections.

The family oriented event will feature craft booths, antique fire apparatus, live music and displays by Alexandria merchants. Persons are also invited to visit the Friendship Firehouse Museum where they will see displays of equipment used by firehouses and local volunteer fire companies during the blazes of 1827, 1855, 1871 and 1922. Food and refreshment will be on sale and all are invited to attend. Kids will be given free fire helmets with a supervised visit inside City of Alexandria fire trucks.
