Developed in the 1960s and 1970s, Chain Bridge Forest neighborhood features 210 single-family homes with varying housing designs by renowned architects and contractors. Most of these homes sit on large lots and have different architectural styles that range from colonial, ranch-style, Cape Cod, European to modern styles. Chain Bridge Forest neighborhood is bordered of N Glebe Road and River Road and overlaps both Arlington and Fairfax County. The neighborhood is accessible through the hiking trail to Little Pimmit Run which borders it to the north and is adjacent to Chesterbrook Woods. Although Chain Bridge Forest does not have a metro station, the residents can easily access the Ballston-MU Metro on the Orange and Silver Lines. This suburban neighborhood provides its residents with woody scenery and various local amenities. The residents enjoy proximity to several parks such as Fort Marcy Park, Fort Ethan Allen, and Glebe Road Park. Students living at Chain Bridge also attend Jamestown Elementary, Williamsburg Middle, and Yorktown High school.
