Hume Springs is a residential neighborhood located at the north east end of Del Ray near Arlandria.
The neighborhood which was established in 1942 was named after a spring that stood on the property of Mr Frank Hume. It now comprises of 175 all brick townhouses with stoops or small porches at the entrance. Hume Springs is within close proximity to notable landmarks and hot spots such as Birchmere. It is bordered by Four Mile Run Park with Potomac Yard shopping district and Coral Kelly Recreation area to the east. Residents can access commute via Braddock Road Metro.
Schools which serve the neighborhood include Cora Kelley Magnet Elementary School, Mount Vernon Elementary School, George Washington Middle School and T.C. Williams High School.
