The Made in Arlington shop in Courthouse has launched its weekly holiday pop-up series.
Made in Arlington shop at the Plaza Branch Library
The retail store, which is in partnership with Arlington Economic Development, is dedicated to unique things beautiful, wearable and edible from innovators and artisans in Arlington. It is open year-round in the Plaza Branch Library at county government headquarters(2100 Clarendon Blvd).
The holiday pop-ups will happen every Thursday through December 19, from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. except for Thanksgiving.
“The Made in Arlington pop-up shop is a great place to find those one-of-a-kind gifts for the holidays while supporting local businesses at the same time,” said Cara O’Donnell of Arlington Economic Development. “From ceramics to chocolates and much more, the artistry and craftsmanship demonstrated by these Arlington vendors is truly outstanding. This pop-up shop is a wonderful way to celebrate that artistry while finishing your holiday shopping list.”
The Pop-up vendors include Kingsbury Chocolates, Nature Landing, Artisan Confections, ACME Pies, Tried and Truhn, and Good Company Donuts.
Artisan Confections owner Jason Andelman, who has sold chocolates in the area for more than 13 years, said the pop-up is a way “to showcase our products for the holidays to a local crowd.”
Andelman also said that on Thursday, November 21, he'll be selling a collection of Thanksgiving pie-flavored chocolates, which will feature flavors such as apple, cherry, pumpkin, and blackberry.
