We headed there one afternoon after grabbing some lunch at the Weston. The park is a bit tucked away in a neighborhood and so it took us a while to find the entrance. Once we found it, we felt like we've made a great discovery. The play area is full of lots of fun activities for kids of all ages.
There's a tot lot with a sand area- with water for making sandcastles that hold their shape, and two bucket swings and smaller play area designed for the 2-5-year-olds with a small play structure, swings, and seesaws. The older kids' area has a large play structure with a slide, climbing wall, and all kinds of interesting features.
Parkhurst Park also has a covered pavilion with picnic tables in the middle so you can have lunch and watch the kids. They also feature a paved track around its perimeter that would be a good spot for training a kid to ride a bike.
