The City of Alexandria has launched a new web based service for residents to communicate with emergency services.
In its nightly email to residents, the City advised of the new service which will help dispatchers and first responders know the history and more about residents. In the event of any emergency information such as medical history, medical allergies and preferred contacts will be available to emergency personnel. Profiles should be created with all contact information such as home, work and mobile numbers which will allow responders to access all information on your profile upon receiving your call. The free Smart911 app is available to residents and businesses.
