Following its opening of a drop off site for residential waste, the City has announced the opening of another drop off site for the disposal of hazardous waste. The Hazardous Waste & Electronics Center will open for one day a week starting on Saturday May 16. The center will be open every Saturday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
As with the residential drop off site, the hazardous waste & electronics center is only open to residents of Alexandria. Residents will need to show proof of their residency before leaving waste at the site. Drop offs will only be accepted from vehicles and not from walk ins.
Residents are reminded to follow guidelines on physical distancing and the wearing of face masks when dropping off items.
