When a person lists a place for sale, the real estate sellers agree to pay a commission to the agents. We're a locally-operated, family-run real estate company and we offer a rebate to our buyer clients.
In many cases, a seller pays the company representing the buyer 2% to 3% of the sales price. (A home hunter's agent makes a portion of that amount.) How does the home shopper's Realtor make money if the buyer doesn't pay commissions?
We rebate a portion of that commission to the home hunter and we pay a portion to the Realtor representing the home shopper. Of course, there are terms and conditions that apply. For example, we don't offer rebates on short sales. Ask Tez Green to explain the details.
