But this article isn't about this house in George Washington Park. Instead, I want to tell you more about some of what I like about Alexandria. I can think of quite a few reasons to love Alexandria. Here are a few of those reasons.
Arlington has a great plan. City planners have located high-rises in close proximity to metro stations and shops and restaurants to create a metropolitan walkable stretch from Ballston to Rosslyn. At the same time, Arlington has preserved quiet residential neighborhoods to get a great urban mix.
The Franconia/Springfield Metro and Van Dorn Metro stations both serve the Springfield area.
Springfield host several Farmer's Markets, including one at the Springfield Mall.
A client of mine once called Springfield and “urban forest” and that has always stuck with me. Much of Springfield has rolling hills and large broad-leaf trees providing shade.
