But putting that aside, this post isn't about this $499,000 3-bedroom townhouse in Park View. Instead, I want to talk about good ole Arlington VA. When I mull over life in Arlington Virginia, here are a couple of things which come to mind:
- Despite being an urban county, Arlington has set aside a number of green spaces for residents to enjoy. For example, Theodore Roosvelt Park is one of my favorite places to walk.
- Arlington is an international county. Close proximity to embassies and our capital and tremendous job opportunities have attracted a diverse and interesting demographic of residents.
- Arlington has a great plan. City planners have located high-rises in close proximity to metro stations and shops and restaurants to create a metropolitan walkable stretch from Ballston to Rosslyn. At the same time, Arlington has preserved quiet residential neighborhoods to get a great urban mix.
- Arlington has numerous interesting museums and is in very close proximity to capitals collection of world renown attractions and museums. Just a few of these include the Smithsonian Institution, the Air & Space Museum, National Gallery of Art, Library of Congress and many many more.
