Where To Eat Great Food In Springfield?

Springfield is best known for its authentic Asian and Middle-Eastern foods inside the area strip malls and desolate shopping plazas. While there are several popular chain restaurants that the locals frequent, there are also hidden gems where you can experience the taste of the East Coast. Feast on the city’s favorites, like firecracker shrimp and drunken rib eye or roast half-chicken with basil redskin mashed potatoes when you're in the mood for some nourishing comfort food. Given below are some of my favorite restaurants in Springfield.

Yard House

Yard House is an American restaurant located at 6791 Springfield Mall, Springfield. The enormous dining room is open for lunch, dinner, and late-night eats, but most flock here for the beer; there are more than 130 draft beers on tap, including Port City, Blue Mountain, and Starr Hill.

Afghan Bistro

Afghan Bistro is a Middle-Eastern, Afghani restaurant located at 8081-D, Alban Rd, Springfield. Afghan Bistro opened its doors two years ago with high praise. Diners still drive in droves and swear by the bistro burger, seasoned with garlic, sumac, and paprika on a brioche bun. Don’t overlook the never-ending bread, rice, and vegetable bowls, either.

Bob & Edith's Diner

Bob & Edith's Diner is an American diner located at 6316 Springfield Plaza, Springfield. Bob & Edith’s is a legendary diner that’s open around the clock. It’s best known for iconic breakfast platters, burgers, subs, shakes, and desserts.

Mike's American

Mike's American is an American restaurant located at 6210 Backlick Rd, Springfield. The menu and vibe at Mike’s is a throwback to the 1950s when baseball and art deco decor reigned supreme. The American menu focuses on nostalgic comfort food, like Indiana’s fried pork tenderloin and a loaded baked potato.

Eleni's Greek Taverna

Eleni's Greek Taverna is a Greek restaurant located at 6131 Backlick Rd, Springfield. Eleni’s is a relative newcomer to Springfield, debuting four years ago with traditional Greek fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No meal is complete without a big slice of Spanakopita, a savory spinach pie with feta, onions, and eggs.
