The City Council of Alexandria has approved special use permits for several major new developments for the city. The businesses slated for development in the city ranges from an indoor trampoline park to a multi family apartment complex.

The first development approved as an indoor trampoline park which will be operated by Get Air. The indoor trampoline park will be located at 340 S. Pickett St. The two story building will feature an indoor trampoline park on the ground floor and an event space on the second floor. The trampoline park will operate on a 24 hour basis and this is will be the first of its kind for the company who has more than 80 locations worldwide.

The second development to be approved by the city council was for a Silver Diner restaurant to be located at 4610 King St in Alexandria. This restaurant will occupy the north corner of the West Alex Development and it will feature 236 indoor and outdoor seats. The restaurant is also slated to operate their indoor seating area on a 24 hr basis.
The third development will see the construction of a multi family apartment complex to be located at 2000 N. Beauregard St. The apartment complex will have 300 units with 5 units of on site affordable housing. The council has requested that the affordable housing units should remain if the complex is converted to condominiums in the future.
