Watching the capital's fireworks display is always the highlight of the day. Here are several great vantage points in Arlington where you can enjoy this spectacular view without having to drive to DC.

  1. Airforce Memorial- with its hilltop location and expansive vista that overlooks the Pentagon and Washington D.C. skyline, this is an excellent viewing location.
  2. Gravelly Point- Best known as a site for watching planes take off and land, this park is also a prime viewing spot for the capital's firework display.
  3. Key Bridge- connects Rosslyn and Georgetown neighborhoods, the Francis Scott Key Bridge offers spectacular views of the nation's capital and the Potomac River. You can catch all the action from the sidewalk.
  4. Long Bridge Park- located at the north end of Arlington's Crystal City neighborhood, this park and its three athletic fields offer amazing fireworks views.
  5. Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima) & Netherlands Carillon- this is probably the best spot to celebrate the nation's birthday. With the mesmerizing statue of Marines raising the flag as the backdrop, you will get to enjoy the panoramic view of the fireworks.
