  • Be aware of food portions and don't be pressured to eat - Anderson says "don't be afraid to say no to the temptations of food around the holidays". Ensure your diet has enough fruits and vegetables and be aware of your sugar intake.
  • Make a plan - make a fitness plan as this will allow you to achieve better results than a random workout. Roberts has advised that "exercise and diet all revolve around having a plan of what to do".
  • Find a nutritional or fitness coach - a fitness or nutritional coach can aid in your fitness journey by taking all of the thinking out of exercising.
  • Check in your progress - plan for check ins with your fitness coaches during your fitness journey. If you are unable to do check-ins always ensure you update your plans.
  • Be patient - losing weight or getting fit is not a race. Results will take some time and persons are advised not to lose hope if the results are not seen quickly.
