Join The City Of Alexandria As They Celebrate The Life Of Martin Luther King Jr

The City of Alexandria will celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr on January 15th at Beth El Hebrew Congregation at 3850 Seminary Road. The 47th annual memorial will honor the icon at the program entitled "Dr. King's 2020 Vision: The Beloved Community - The Fierce Urgency of Now". It will include remarks by Mayor Justin Wilson and music by Male Chorus of Alexandria's Russell Temple CME Church. The keynote address will be given by Spencer Crew, the interim director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. The event will start at 7:30 pm and is free to the public.
