Fairfax County Offers Food Resources During COVID-19 Outbreak

Fairfax County Public Schools and Fairfax County have worked together to develop a searchable map that includes community food distribution sites. The map also includes FCPS grab and go locations, community meal distribution sites, food pantries, and other related services. According to www.connectionnewspapers.com, "Two school sites offer curbside pickup. Breakfast and lunch will be available from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Follow the kiss and ride signage for traffic flow at the school; FCPS staff will deliver meals to children and adults while they wait in their cars.

  • Oak View Elementary, 5004 Sideburn Road, Fairfax

The FCPS sites, locations, bus routes, and curbside services are available Monday-Friday only."

As per www.connectionnewspapers.co, "Fairfax County Public Schools buses are delivering grab and go meals along some bus routes. School buses will stop at designated intersections to deliver these meals. All FCPS students are eligible for free grab and go breakfast and lunch. All other county children, under the age of 18, can also receive a meal. Adults may pay $2 for the meals as well. Students must be present to request meals. This service is available Monday–Friday only."
