Enjoy Mason Neck State Park’s Annual Eagle Festival

Mason Neck State Park is going to hold the Annual Eagle Festival on May 9, 2020. The Park will have live animal shows, pony rides, a special puppet show for young children, environmental exhibits and activities, pony rides, live entertainment, and food and drink.  Check the website for more details. Also, join the Wildlife Center of Virginia for two presentations about Birds of Prey at the Mason Neck State Park Eagle Festival. You'll meet three live birds of prey, and there will be a discussion about the special adaptations of raptors. There will be two presentations under the Wildlife Tent at 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Secret Garden Birds and Bees will be at Mason Neck State Park with their live hawks and owls for the 2020 Eagle Festival. They will be hosting raptor themed games and activities at their little green tent throughout the day. So, stop by to try to match baby birds with their parents, find out if you're as smart as an owl, or take apart an owl pellet to see what the barn owls have been eating. It's your chance to meet a raptor up close and maybe even get a selfie.
