The Workhouse Arts Center is holding special Thursday evening Drive-In movies, a Girl Scout Gold Award Project virtual event, and a suffrage-related art exhibit. All these events are planned for the month of August. The museum presents the story of the imprisonment of the 72 Suffragists at the Occoquan Workhouse in 1917 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment in 2020.
