1. Metro is great for getting to various metro stations in Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. Many people use the metro to commute into DC daily.
2. Bus routes offer transportation to highly trafficked areas that might not be covered by the metro. Buses come more frequently in the morning and are usually on an hourly schedule in the evenings.
3. Train useful for longer distance travel to different parts of Virginia as well as different parts of the United States.
4. Plane Ronald Reagan National Airport is a transportation hub for many people in Northern Virginia flying out to different parts of the world.
5. Scooter fuel efficient, easy to find parking for, minimal paperwork involved, and fun to ride.
6. Bicycle green, healthy, and in some ways cheaper then the other modes of transportation listed above. Many neighborhoods in Arlington and Alexandria are bicycle friendly.
7. Walking green, healthy, and free.
8. Boat good for fishing, relaxing on the Potomac River after leaving a marina, or just taking the Potomac Riverboat to a Nationals game.
9. Taxi can be expensive, but great for going out to explore nightlife.

Alexandria’s “grandest” home, built in 1752. In 1755, five British governors met here to discuss the French and Indian War. They proposed taxation without representation which sparked the American Revolution.
Now a museum, the most cherished possession is a seven-foot handpumper purchased by George Washington for four hundred dollars.
Retaining it’s cobblestone street is Captains Row in the 100 block of Prince Street. Many captains’ lived here during the era of tall sailing ships.
The oldest house (restored) in Alexandria, built by William Ramsey a prominent Scottish merchant is now headquarters of Alexandria Tourist Council.

The land for Christ Church was given by the Alexander family. Construction began in 1767 and was completed in 1773. George Washington owned a pew and Robert E. Lee was confirmed here. Colonel James Wren of Falls Church was the Architect.
A mecca for social life for three centuries, restored and maintained by American Legion Post 24. George Washington is said to have recruited his first command here in 1754.
One of the oldest Apothecary shops in the nation established in 1792 and operated without interruption for one hundred and forty one years by five generations of the Stabler and Leadbeater families.

Pohick Regional Park is on the Mason Neck Peninsula located at 6501 Pohick Bay Drive Lorton, VA 22079. The phone number for Pohick Regional Park is (703) 339-6104. Pohick Regional Park is close to Fort Belvoir and Woodbridge.
Pohick Regional Bay Park sits on the Potomac River and has a boat launch facility. For those interested in freshwater fishing there are Largemouth bass, catfish, striped bass, bluegill, crappie, carp and perch in the Potomac River. Other fun water activities here include: canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and jon boats for rent on the weekends. Pohick Regional Bay Park hosts Pirates Cove Waterpark.
Pohick Regional Bay Park is a great location to have a barbeque at, to hike at, and to camp at. Bald eagles, blue birds, osprey, heron, deer, beavers and river otters can sometimes be seen here. Pohick Regional Bay Park also has a golf coarse, a miniature golf coarse, and disc golf.

Lioudmila's Dance Studio was started in 2000 and is located at 18 Roth St Alexandria, VA 22336. Lioudmila is just off Duke St. a little bit after Old Town and at the beginning of West End Alexandria. The phone number for Lioudmila is (703) 751-8868.
Lioudmila's has experienced dance instructors that give lessons in a wide variety of dance styles - from Salsa, to Swing, to what ever you request. Lioudmila's has group lessons that are great for newbies to learn the basics, and dance parties that are great for advanced dancers to hone their skills. Lioudmila's is affordable with indvidual rates as well as monthly rates. I went here recently and after an hour long training session I learned the basic footwork to the Rumba dance.

Lotte has a few restaurants inside (for example there is a Korean restaurant that serves Bulgogi and Bibim Bop and other main entrees). Lotte grocery is similar to Costco or Safeway with their vast selection of items except unlike Costco or Safeway Lotte specializes in the following ethnic cuisines: Asian, Middle Eastern, Indian, Pakistani and Hispanic food.
Lotte has an excellent selection of items you won't find in your average grocery. Lotte is similar to Super H Mart.
