Celebrate Art At The Del Ray’s Annual Art On The Avenue Festival

Del Ray's Annual Art on the Avenue Festival will be held on Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray on October 5 from 10 am to 6 pm. The annual festival which is held on the first Saturday in October celebrates the community's diversity through the arts. The festival hosts over 300 artists from jewelers, woodworkers, pottery akers, soap crafters, glass makers and sculptures. Live music will be provided on five stages with music from Irish, folk, rock n roll country and more. Food vendors from local restaurants will be on sale right through the festival. Patrons (kids and adults) at the festival can participate in the annual pie eating contest which will be held near the Festival Store with 100% proceeds going to the non profit organization Kelley Cares. Kids can participate in activities such as stuff your own scarecrow, paint a pumpkin, design a lotus flower and weave screen art. All are invited to attend this artistic annual event. Continue reading
