A Must Attend Summer Event In Old Town – Old Town Beer, Wine And Dog Festival

Old Town Alexandria will come alive on August 17th with the hosting of the Old Town Beer, Wine and Dog Festival. The event which will be held at the Waterfront Park will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The goal of the festival "is to provide an alternative to the typical adoption procedure by combining food, drinks and dogs in a social environment". The festival will see guests trying local beer, wine and food enjoying live music and playing activities with dogs. Patrons attending the event without a dog can enjoy activities with the sheltered or fostered dogs who will be on location looking for a new home. The dogs will be able to run loose in a fenced area with tents, water bowls and ice baths for them to enjoy.
