Chambliss Park is a 8.16 acres neighborhood park located at 2505 North Chambliss Street on the west end of Alexandria. The park is adjacent to Dora Kelly Park and John Adams Elementary School. The park is a popular place for persons to walk their dogs, play tennis, go sledding during the winter and to play baseball. The City of Alexandria will come alive on July 20 2019 as the Annual Tons Of Truck event takes place at Chinquapin Park and Forest Park, 3210 King Street Alexandria. The event will take place 10 am to 1 pm and will feature over 20 City vehicles on display. Patrons at the event will get the opportunity to explore and get behind the wheel of fire trucks, front end loader, dump truck, bucket truck, trash truck as well as bus and police cars. Persons can meet and greet with the personnel who have built and maintained the vehicles.
