Colvin Run Mill is located in Great Falls. Colvin Run Mill has great importance as it is the sole surviving operational 19th-century water-powered mill in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The grinding season at the mill begins in April. Grinding takes place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays on the month through October from noon to 3 p.m., conditions permitting.
