Bike Helmet Giveaway Program And Traumatic Brain Injury Prevention Program Held At Hutchison Elementary School

The aim of the attorney and avid cyclist Doug Landau of the Herndon law firm Abrams Landau, Ltd. is to save children from traumatic brain injury due to skateboarding and cycling accidents. His program named "Lids on Kids" was introduced in Hutchison Elementary School on May 22. The purpose of the program was to provide helmets to the children who don't have them, but this year the program had a twist. It was made compulsory for the students of fifth and sixth grade to have a pledge signed by a parent or adult guardian in order to get a free helmet. June 6 was a special day for the community of Oakton High School. Students were accompanied by teachers, friends, family, administrators and distinguished guests at the Fifty-first Commencement Exercises of the school. Almost 670 young adults attended the ceremony wearing burgundy caps and gowns at the George Mason University EagleBank Arena. All of them were ready to start their next big adventure. Enjoy Taste Of Reston This Weekend

The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce produces Taste of Reston festival every year for the past six years. Taste of Reston is one of the largest outdoor food festivals in the area. The festival has also been voted as the  “Northern Virginia’s Best Food Festival”  by Virginia Living magazine. Exploring Riverbend Park in Great Falls

Riverbend Park is located in Great Falls, Fairfax County. Riverbend Park Covers an area of 400 acres having forests, meadows, and ponds. Riverbend Park is tucked away in a remote river setting and is the only riverfront park of the Fairfax County Park Authority. There are a number of trails in the park which include a 2.5-mile portion of the Potomac Heritage Trail linking national and regional parkland.
