Fairfax County To Open 3 Inova Respiratory Illness Clinics Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

Fairfax County has announced that it will open three Inova Urgent Care respiratory illness clinic locations on Wednesday to help check the spread of coronavirus. The clinics are located at Dulles South, North Arlington, and Tysons. All patients with respiratory illness symptoms will be evaluated by medical staff at these locations. Fairfax County Commission for Women, in concert with their Women's History Month 2020 Celebration, honored three "Valiant Women of the Vote," Jane Barker of Clifton, Cypriana McCray of Reston and Laura McKie formerly of West Springfield. Primo’s Family Restaurant, similar to most of the restaurants in the Mount Vernon area, has put out a sign on their door that says order out only. Primo’s has also started offering delivery as well starting the day after St. Patrick’s Day. Primo’s Family Restaurant in the Belle View Shopping Center has no previous experience of this new venture, but desperate times require desperate measures. Girl Scout Gold Award Awarded To Reston Teen For Mosquito Vector Control

Julia Cartwright is working to help protect Reston from mosquito bites as a part of her Girl Scout Gold Award. Julia Cartwright, 16, of Reston, 10th grader at Herndon High, has been giving mosquito vector control presentations in Reston and Northern Virginia on how to reduce mosquito populations and avoid mosquito bites along with erecting blue bird houses at select locations in Reston. She also has mosquito prevention brochures as well as mosquito dunks to put in any standing water you have on your property that you can’t remove yourself. Continue reading
