Save Planet Earth and Donate To A Children’s Charity By Shopping At Whole Foods in Alexandria

Duke Street Whole Foods in Alexandria is playing its part in fighting plastic pollution while donating to The Child & Family Network Centers by encouraging residents to walk with their own shopping bags. From now until June 1 2020 Whole Foods at 1700 Duke Street will donate the five cent bag fee to the local charity. The Child & Family Network Centers (CFNC) started in 1984 by a group of mothers living in a public housing community. The organization has since grown to help children and their families in need in Alexandria. Donate to a local charity and save the Earth by bringing your own shopping bags to Whole Foods at Duke Street.

ALIVE! one of Alexandria's most popular non profit organization is celebrating its 50th year in existence. The organization, whose name stands for "Alexandrian Involved Ecumenically" was first started in 1969 by a group of members from various church congregations who were concerned with the living conditions of poor people within the City.
