Proposal For New Cat Cafe And Wine Bar Approved By Alexandria’s Planning Commission.

  .00 City officials has approved the proposal for the development of a new cat cafe and wine bar in Old Town Alexandria. The new one of a kind Mount Purrnon Cafe and Wine Bar will be located at the former home of Sand and Steel Fitness at 109 South Alfred Street in Old Town. Celebrate New Years Eve By Dining At One Of These Must Try Restaurants In Alexandria

Celebrate New Year's Eve on the town with friends and family and dine at one of these must try restaurants in Alexandria:
  • Cafe 44 - located at 44 Canal Center Plaza, Cafe 44 will be hosting a Great Gatsby themed New Year Eve party. Diners will be treated to oysters Rockefeller and prime ribs while enjoying Prohibition-themed cocktails and bubbly.
  • Zikrayet - located at 2006 Eisenhower Avenue, this annual New Years Eve party will feature live music from musicians Roni Asmar and Robert Mrad while diners feast on a multi-course meal.
  • Mason Social  - located at 78 N Henry Street, this restaurant will host a good old fashioned social hour with food and drink specials all night.
  • Sonoma Cellar - located at 207 King Street diners can enjoy wine and beer all night with a full dinner menu. A Midnight Thirty Breakfast Buffet will be provided at midnight.
  • Village Brauhaus - located at 710 King Street, the restaurant will host a '20s party and a costume contest. An open bar will be available all night.
  • Rustico - located at 827 Slaters Lane diners will be treated to a Chinese takeout menu with the likes of kimchi fried rice, General Tso's chicken, pot stickers and vegetables. Themes cocktails will be available.
  • Evening Star Cafe - located at 2000 Mount Vernon Avenue diners can enjoy four courses with options including black trumpet caviar, beef tartare, scallops over salsify and chocolate sponge cake. Each course features a vegetarian option.

Italian Restaurant In Old Town To Roll Back Prices And Menu For 40th Anniversary

Landini Brothers Restaurant located at 115 King Street in Old Town Alexandria will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary on October 28th by bringing the diner's menu and prices back 40 years ago. Originally founded in 1979 by Italian brothers Franco and Piero Landini the restaurant will for one night only use the original menu with its prices from 1979. The menu will include dishes like veal parmigiana, Penne All'Arrabbiata and Tortellini in Brodo. Residents of Old Town and its surrounding communities are encouraged to take advantage of this one time anniversary offer. Continue reading
