The Butterfly Effect Mural which was painted near the intersection of king and north Patrick streets have raised over $10,000 in donations for non profit organizations. The mural which was created by Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker in partnership with artist Tasha Wahl, ACT for Alexandria, Asana Partners and Bloomers has garnered attention from many residents who use their social media to donate to these non profit organizations. On October 6 2019 join the Alexandria's National Breast Center Foundation and the women who have fought or are currently fighting breast cancer as they walk to bust cancer at Fort Hunt Park. The 4th annual walk which begins at 9 am will be 1.2 miles long with a live DJ Music, meditation activities, dance and exercise exhibitions and children's activities before and after the walk.
