Built in 1951 and originally called the
Boulevard of Old Town apartments, the seven
Bearing South buildings were converted into 158 renovated condominium units in 2006. Located on the 800 block of South Washington Street, the Bearings condos are surrounded by the oldest historic district of
Old Town Alexandria and the oldest Catholic Cemetery in Virginia, St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
Though nestled in a historic gem of a city, the condo units at
Bearing South have been fully renovated and feature modern granite countertops, crown molding, and Brazilian hardwood floors.
