The city of Fairfax is located in Fairfax County,Virginia. Fairfax is about 20-25 minutes from Washington D.C. The area offers a hodgepodge of living and office space; including townhomes, apartments, houses, retail, office and commercial properties. The area is thriving and still has that small town charm. Fairfax is listed on the Register of Historic Places with beautiful restored homes and currently has a population of approximately 21,000. The city was settled by farmers in the 1700's from Virginia's Tidewater Region and was named after Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord of Fairfax of Cameron. King Charles awarded Mr. Fairfax millions of acres in Virginia. The city became independent in 1874. The schools in Fairfax are ranked as some of the best in the country by U.S. News and World. Currently the schools consist of Fairfax High School, Lanier Middle School, Daniels Run Elementary School, Eagle View Elementary School, and Providence Elementary School. Fairfax is also host to many annual events such as the Chocolate Lovers Festival, Spotlight on the Arts, Irish Festival, Holiday Craft Show, and much more. Rising Value in Pinewood Lawns Home Prices

This chart shows the average number of homes sales in Pinewood Lawns (zip code 23309), a community within Alexandria, as compared to those of the city of Alexandria as a whole. As you can see, the average listing price for homes in Pinewood Lawns is on the rise. Pinewood Lawns is in Southern Fairfax County, near Fort Belvoir.. The area has a mix of colonial and more traditionally styled condominiums. These condos are also close to Woodbridge. Pinewood Lawns offers good choices for a first home and for commuters. Most of these residencies were built in the 1970s but have received upgrades and additional features. Where is Sully Station?

Sully Station is a neighborhood in Centreville, Virginia. It has both single family and townhouse lay out homes. The Homeowner's association is Sequoia Management. Sully Station offers a community pool with locker rooms and also rentals of the pool for anyone interested in hosting a private event. Schools around the area are Westfield High School, Cub Run Emergency School, and Stone Middle School. There are local camps offered by the neighborhood with sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, volleyball, and others that are great for early childhood development. The staff works one on one with the youth to promote growth and self confidence. The program hires former or current high school athletes from local high schools to work with the children. Graduates of these sports camps receive a t-shirt, certificate, and a reward. Local vendors and stores around the neighborhood include USPS, Giant, Shell, Tuesday Morning, and a Tae Kwon Do Center.
