The City of Alexandria will be hosting a National Bike to Work Day on Friday May 17, 2019. The annual event invites members of the public to consider biking as an affordable, environmentally friendly and efficient means of commuting to work. Participants who register for the event can partake in fun activities at any one of the five (5) pit stops: Market Square/City Hall, Carlyle, Del Ray, Farlington Centre and Mark Center North Parking Garage. The Pit Stop at Market Square will feature giveaways, free refreshments and a DASH bus participants can use to practice loading and unloading of their bikes. Continue reading
The 11th Annual Taste of Del Ray dubbed as one of Virginia Living Magazine's top food festivals in the state will be held at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square and the United Bank parking lot on June 2 from 1 pm to 3 pm. The event will feature cuisines from eighteen top area restaurants and vie for the People' Choice Award.
