Hundreds of spectators turned out Saturday to see daring, bighearted people get soaking wet and cold for a special cause. Some of them were bundled in polar fleece and wool caps. The 2020 Virginia Polar Dip, at Lake Anne in Reston, is an annual event to raise money for Camp Sunshine. It is a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
