The intersection of Ordway, Compton and Old Centreville roads is a particularly important part of the Route 28 widening project.
The traffic becomes quite slow during the rush hours at route 28 in Centreville. But the things will be considerably improved until 2023 because of a multimillion-dollar widening project. Route 28 in Centreville is planned to be widened from four lanes to six lanes. The widening will take place from the bridge over Bull Run to the interchange at Route 29 at Prince William/Fairfax County line.
