The Islamic holy month of Ramadan has started. To celebrate the spirit of Ramadan, Islamic Relief USA helped to assemble 1500 food boxes to help the people in need. Islamic Relief USA is a nonprofit humanitarian and advocacy organization based in Alexandria. About 60 volunteers gathered for this purpose and packed the boxes with nonperishable foods in Springfield.

Abi's II is a family owned restaurant located at 5838 N Kings Hwy. They are inside of the Huntington Station shopping center, next to Huntington Metro.
Abi's is open Monday through Thursday 11:00am to 10pm, Friday 11:00 am to midnight, Saturday 10:00 am to midnight and Sunday 10am to 10pm. Abi's II is casual dining establishment that offers a warm atmosphere and a quick to go service.
The menu sports a variety of classic Mexican and Salvadorean dishes. The alcohol served includes domestic and import beers, margaritas and wine. My favorite entree is the homemade pork and cheese pupusas with a side of cabbage and salsa. The mellow pupusa is contrasted in flavor by the crunchy cabbage drenched in hot salsa. This is a filling meal at a good price.

A cozy and modern shopping center nestled in the city of Fairfax, Fairfax corner is a great place for shoppers in Northern Virginia. Shops include Bubbles, Chicos, Ann Taylor Loft, REI, White House Black Market, Arhaus Furniture and Reveal MedSpa.
Eateries include Potbelly, California Pizza Kitchen, Chipotle, and PF Chang's Chinese Bistro. Fairfax Corner also has Virginia's first Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt. The small business originated in California and has expanded to Fairfax corner. If you are looking for a delightfully tart yet sweet treat, try having a Pinkberry! The ingredients are all natural and toppings include never frozen fresh fruit (strawberries, kiwis, pineapples, bananas, mangos, blueberries, etc). Dry toppings include all natural mixed nuts, vanilla snack cookies/crackers, Captain Crunch, brownies, cheesecake bites, chocolate chips, oreos, fruity pebbles, gummy bears, mochi, and even sunflower seeds. Pinkberry is a great new type of frozen yogurt!
The clothing stores also offer a great selection of stores for more contemporary adult style. REI is a great place for those loving nature and the outdoors to enjoy themselves and there is even a AAA at the center.
