What Is At Chambliss Park?
Chambliss Park is a 8.16 acres neighborhood park located at 2505 North Chambliss Street on the west end of Alexandria. The park is adjacent to Dora Kelly Park and John Adams Elementary School. The park is a popular place for persons to walk their dogs, play tennis, go sledding during the winter and to play baseball. The park features a wooded nature area with a foot path that leads to Dora Kelly Nature Park. The park is open on a daily basis for everyone to come and enjoy. Continue reading
Beverly Park is a 1.74 acres lot located at 620 North Overlook Drive in Alexandria 22305. The park which is known as 'the pit' was officially opened in June 1943 and was adopted by the North Ridge Citizens Association. The facility features a hard court play area, a playground with park shelter, picnic tables, sitting areas and wooded nature area.
Helen Miller/Bernard Hunter Park is a 0.32 acres park located at 224 North Fayette Street in Old Town West Alexandria. The neighborhood park was named in honor of community activists the late Mr Bernard Hunter and Mrs Helen Miller. The park features a playground for kids,swings and a basketball court.
