The Laurel Hill Park Volunteer Team planted southern red oak seedlings (Quercus falcate) on Oct. 30 as part of the Celebration of Trees campaign organized by Plant NoVA Natives. Fountainhead Regional Park Fall Colors Kayak Tour will take place at Fountainhead Regional Park 10875 Hampton Road, Fairfax Station on 28 October 2019. Led by NOVA Parks roving naturalist David Garcia, this kayak tour will take those ages 14 and older on an afternoon adventure along the Occoquan Reservoir. As you paddle along the water with friends and family by your side, Garcia will go into detail about the history of the area, as well as the natural elements of the changing leaves around you.
