The Mount Vernon Inn is situated on what was once the site of George and Martha Washington's historic Mansion House Farm. The Washingtons had 5 farms on their 8,077 acre plantation. The farm has been maintained by the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association since 1853 as a shrine to America's first president. Since it's beginning, visitors have flocked to see Mount Vernon. The Mount Vernon Ladies' Association purchased the Inn from the Federal Government in 1992.
This Georgian-style Mansion has stunning views of the Potomac River. The location is accessible due to the George Washington Parkway, which is maintained by the National Park service.
