McLean’s Resident Helps Seniors Get Vaccinated

A McLean resident has become a popular person in her neighborhood and across the region for her ability to get COVID-19 vaccination appointments on websites that other people find excruciatingly difficult to navigate. Katja Hom helped an immigrant family who speaks Spanish and was having trouble navigating the website to get vaccination appointments at a local Safeway. Herndon Village Network Helps Seniors During Pandemic

Herndon Village Network (HVN) is continuing to provide its essential transportation services to Herndon senior citizens during the ongoing pandemic. The volunteers at HVN offer rides for “must-do” errands like routine doctor appointments and grocery shopping. Fairfax County School Board Releases Decision About Class of 2020

Superintendent Scott Brabrand has declined any possibilities of summer in-person commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2020. Brabrand said the School Board agreed on his recommended approach after receiving results from high school students and parents on his Survey on Graduation Preferences.
