Joseph Hensley Park is a 21.66 acres park named in honor of the late Joseph Hensley, a former Director of the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities in Alexandria. The park is located at 4200 Eisenhower Avenue and features facilities for everyone to enjoy. The park features softball fields, soccer field, picnic area and a park shelter with grill. It is used by the Adult Sports Leagues, the Bishop Ireton Varsity and Junior Varsity Softball Teams as well as the Alexandria Soccer Association. The picnic area and the ball fields can be rented for the hosting of private events.

Eugene Simpson Stadium Park is located at 426 East Monroe Avenue in Del Ray Alexandria. The park is a 9.94 acres open area which connects various points of the Del Ray neighborhood.
