The 2021 Fairfax County Park Authority Reston Farmers Market and Herndon Farmers Market recently opened under COVID-19 guidelines. Both offer a dazzling array of local produce, picked right before the market, and goods not seen in grocery stores. The Reston Market began its season on May 1, with its traditional bell ringing, this year by Fairfax County employee Naturalist Melodie Stehling of Centreville. “It brings me joy to announce another wonderful 2021 season,” she said. Clean Fairfax And Aslin Beer Company, Herndon Hosted Earth Daze

Looking to better the environment and celebrate the 51st anniversary of Earth Day, Clean Fairfax and Aslin Beer Company hosted Earth Daze on April 24 at the Elden Street Herndon brewery. The one-day event promoted sustainability in a fun and interactive environment, laid out in the fenced-in beer garden. Proceeds from the event allow Clean Fairfax to continue leading its charge on all things green and sustainable in Fairfax County. ViVa! Vienna! is a three-day family- and community-oriented festival celebrating Memorial Day in Vienna, VA. Vienna’s historic Freeman House, Old Vienna Railroad Station and Church Street provide the backdrop for this celebration that features more than 300 vendors and local artisans, amusement rides, food prepared by local restaurants. A full slate of entertainment is on tap all three days with performances geared toward both children and adults. Entertainers include musical groups, dance troupes, magicians and the like.
