Ruby Tucker Park is a neighborhood park located at 3500 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Alexandria. In June 2011 the park was dedicated to the "Queen of Lynhaven" Ruby Tucker. Ruby Tucker was an active advocate for her Lynhaven neighborhood until her death. She served on the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority for 12 years while caring for foster kids throughout her life. She also served as a director of the ALIVE Child Development Center and PTA president for several schools across Alexandria.
Ruby Tucker neighborhood park features a horseshoe pit with open space, seating area and trails. Dogs are allowed to the park on leash. Residents of Lynhaven enjoy coming to the park to socialize with their neighbours as well as have picnic with their families and friends.
