One of the reasons I love Tuckahoe Park is because it's different from any park that I have seen in Arlington. I have been here several times with my five-year-old daughter and she really enjoys herself.
Tuckahoe park
Located next to Tuckahoe Elementary School, this twelve-acre park features a large playground with unique play structures that makes it fun and different for the kids. The main play structures include a giant plaything with slides, a dish swing, and a large rope pyramid that my daughter loved climbing. There are also some swings, spinners, bouncing pads, and teeter-totters. The park is perfect for 5-12-year-olds.
Other features in the park include:
Two baseball/softball fields
Two lighted tennis courts
A rectangular grass field
Nature trails
Amphitheater
A shaded area with picnic tables
A drinking fountain
Tuckahoe Park is at the intersection of Lee and Sycamore Street and is only a 10-minute walk from East Falls Metro Station. It is open from sunrise to half an hour after sunset.
