The Alexandria Beautification Commission will be hosting its 2019 Awards Ceremony on October 16th at the Lyceum starting at 7:30 pm. The awards ceremony will recognize, honor and celebrate residents, businesses, organizations and communities which have shown outstanding efforts in the beautification of the city. Nominees will be awarded based on six (6) categories: Commercial Beautification, Residential Beautification, Community Beautification, Excellence in Architecture, Excellence in Sustainable Design and Green Practices. The event will feature keynote speaker Joan Honeyman, Owner of Jordan Honeyman Landscape Architecture and Adjunct Professor of Sustainable Landscape Design at George Washington University. All residents are invited to attend this free event.
