John Allen Modder earned his Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scout Troop 1131 at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in Burke. He is the 220th person to earn this rank. Donald and Elizabeth Modder are the parents of John. They are the residents of Wakefield Chapel area of Annandale.

According to Springfield Connection, "John is a 16-year-old junior at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, where he plays defense on the Lacrosse team and enjoys soccer. He is a member of the National Honor Society, as well. John attends Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale.
In the troop, he has served as the Senior Patrol Leader (SPL). In the summers, he works as a lifeguard at his local community pool. His goal is to someday own his own Home Services company."
Maryam N. is a Senior Writer at Nesbitt Realty. She is an expert on Fairfax County. Maryam has also worked previously as a geologist. She is a foodie and enjoys cooking and exploring new restaurants.
