Two seniors at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria are feeling ecstatic and grateful after winning the prestigious Posse Foundation scholarships worth $250,000. Seniors Wilmer Carranza and Madeleine Allen who will be attending college this fall will have their tuition costs covered after they were awarded the scholarships at a ceremony held in Washington D.C. Wilmer and Madeleine will both be looking to major in Computer Science at Lafayette College and University of Wisconsin-Madison respectively. The Posse Foundation is a non profit organization which was established to identify future leaders. The organization has been distributing tuition scholarships for the past thirty years through their partner colleges. The word 'Posse" represents the organization's way of grouping ten students together who will attend the same college or university.
